Next Steps

At New Life we believe that finding Christ should lead to following Christ where we discover the plan and purpose He has for our lives. Next steps presents a growth track to help us identify where we are on that journey and how we can connect grow serve and lead within the church.

L is for Link.

These are the opportunities we get to share the gospel and introduce people to the gospel. The links are limitless as God leads us by His Spirit but these would include Alpha – Fresh Start and other outreach opportunities.

I is for Immerse.

This is where we invite those who are being saved to grasp the vision of a local church. Jesus models the concept of small groups for discipleship growth and a place to discover spiritual gifts and so we encourage everyone to join a connect group. The immerse classes are the opportunity to kick-start our journey with Christ through the study of the scriptures bringing revelation and understanding of our true identity, intimacy purpose and calling in God.

F is for Flourish.

Connect groups become a great venue to raise up volunteers as people seek to discover their spiritual gifts and live out God’s purpose for their lives in the safety and security of church family. We see in the bible that often the greatest opportunity for spiritual growth is found in serving others as good stewards of God’s grace.

E is for Empower.

This is where we breed the next level of leadership in the church. 2 Timothy 2:2 (NIV) says ” And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” Rarely do people feel adequate enough to lead other people and yet the Bible is built on God choosing those who felt most unqualified to change the world. Why? Because the Unqualified must rely on God’s help to get the job done. And these are the people that, once engaged God always steps in to promote.
