The church is not a place, a name, a building, or a programme. The church is people. In the early church, Jesus’ disciples met intentionally from home to home, reading scripture, breaking bread, praying together and gathering for worship. 2000 years later, we are committing ourselves to the same thing.
All throughout scripture, we find “one another” commands given to those who follow Jesus. Things like love one another, forgive one another, celebrate one another and bear one another’s burdens. Ultimately, following Jesus means sharing your life. For this very reason connect groups exist to cultivate a culture of family and friendship under the expression “We do life together!” Small groups are the hub of of our church and for those of you who feel ready to join you are guaranteed a warm welcome, go for it! Feel free to visit a couple of connect groups before choosing one that works for you.
